SMART IT People was formed in 2008. But the roots of the company go back much further. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, our founder worked for 3 large, international firms in his career, providing similar services. Though the companies were well-established and successful, he always felt that he could improve the experience for both clients and employees. However, it's difficult to make meaningful, lasting improvements to mature systems within large corporations. He often wondered, "What could I accomplish with a more agile, streamlined organization?" From that simple idea, SMART IT People was born. Essentially, at SMART IT People we strive to provide high quality resources at very competitive rates to our clients, while still offering a very attractive career alternative for our consultants. And to have fun doing so!
Our core fundamentals are very simple: We don’t exist without strong relationships with our clients AND our consultants. We use our extensive market and industry knowledge, and proven processes to provide our clients with unparalleled customer service, including the best available resources at competitive rates. Alice is a top-level sales & recruiting executive with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology and staffing industry. She started her IT career with Canada's largest privately held IT staffing firm. They relocated her to Raleigh, NC, 25 years ago, to open a new branch. After the company was acquired, she became one of the top National Account Managers in the country. She earned President's Club and Employee of the Year.
Alice joined SMART IT People in September 2013 after spending more than 10 years as a highly respected Account Manager and Business Development Lead with a large IT consulting firm with $500 Million in revenues. After her company was acquired by an international conglomerate, she began to see changes in the operation in terms of quality, support and personal interaction. It was time to pursue her passion of partnering with her husband and growing SMART IT People to the next level. Alice's philosophy is "doing the right thing", with both integrity and honesty. She has been in the IT industry for over 25 years and enjoys keeping her clients and consultants happy.
With her extensive network of clients and IT talent, she has enabled SMART IT People to double it's growth in her first year with the company.
