Contract opportunity (with possibility of conversion to full-time)

Remote (Must work 8am to 5pm CT) - Preference for candidates that live in ET and CT zones

SMART IT People is hiring a Senior Boomi Integration Developer to own the design and reliability of the integrations connecting our back-office systems — Workday ERP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ServicePath CPQ, BillingPlatform, NetSuite, and SQL Server databases. This is a technical ownership role: you'll be the senior-most hands-on builder on Boomi, setting integration patterns for the team and acting as the escalation point when something breaks in production.

You'll be joining a team of integration developers supporting several Boomi Atoms processing approximately 800 transactions/day across each environment. This role does not manage direct reports, however, it does mentor 1-2 mid-level developers. Potential people-management responsibilities may follow as the team grows.

Job description:

·  Architect and build integration processes in Boomi AtomSphere across our multi-Molecule environment, covering Flow, API Management, and EDI/B2B where applicable

·  Set integration design standards and patterns for the team — data mapping, transformation, error handling, and retry/escalation logic.

·  Own Boomi Master Data Hub data flows and master data quality across connected systems

·  Drive performance tuning and root-cause analysis on existing integrations; you'll inherit some technical debt and be expected to help retire it, not just build new

·  Lead release management and environment promotion (Dev → Test → Prod) using Boomi's native deployment; Experience with CI/CD desired, for automation.

·  Participate in production support - some on-call work required, but only when necessary.

·  Mentor other developers on Boomi best practices and review their integration designs.

·  Maintain architecture documentation and integration diagrams as the system evolves.

Required skills:

• 5+ years of proven and hands-on experience working with Boomi technologies including AtomSphere, and Master Data Hub (MDH).
• Experience architecting and building integration processes in Boomi AtomSphere
• Integration design standards - data mapping, transformation, error handling and retry/escalation logic.
• Boomi Master Data Hub data flows
• Performance tuning and root-cause analysis

Preferred Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline/experience.
• Experience integrating via Boomi with two or more of the following systems:
  • Microsoft SQL Server Databases
  • NetSuite
  • Workday ERP
  • Salesforce
  • ServiceNow
  • ServicePath CPQ
  • Billing Platform
• Prior experience in a regulated or high-security data environment (we'll go into specifics concerning regulatory compliance during the interview)
• Experience mentoring or technically leading other developers

Working Conditions: 

• Fully remote; core collaboration hours 8 am – 5 pm CT
• On-call rotation: As needed – approximately once per quarter
• Occasional travel: 1-2 times per year
